Belle Phromchanya
Director
Belle Phromchanya was born in Thailand and relocated to Amsterdam in 2011. After graduating from the MA Design at the Sandberg instituut, she began her career as an independent designer and filmmaker under the moniker:Â Non Native Native. In recent years she has produced a series of artistic investigations around the subject of cultural identity and contemporary migration, expanding the possibility of a cross-disciplinary co-production with other fields of expertise such as academic researchers and journalists. Her works are made up of visual research, documentary film, as well as multimedia installations, displaying personal explorations of political and social realities.
Jiraporn Laocharoenwong
Producer / Researcher
Jiraporn Laocharoenwong is a lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. She obtained Master of Science in Sociology (Contemporary Social Thought), London School of Economics (LSE), and Master of Arts in Development Studies, International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University. Currently, she is working on her PhD. project at Universiteit van Amsterdam, entitled ‘Re-imagining refugee camp: Time and Space formation along the Thailand-Burma borderland’. Her work emphasizes to a formation of long-term refugee camp and the spatial perception of refugee who have been living there.
Twan da Silva
Producer / Editor
Twan da Silva grew up during the heydays of flower power. So, it shouldn’t seem strange that during the Nineties, he got caught up in the House music movement and started organising raves. When the scene turned too commercial, he decided to move on and travel the world. After living an extensive period in Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, he came back to Holland and embarked on a successful career as video editor. In 2009 he felt that it was time to give his career yet another turn and attended the London Film School. In 2012 he graduated at the London Film School as a Producer/Director.
Currently he’s developing several projects and cutting documentary films.
Christoph Scherbaum
Music Composer
Christoph Scherbaum is a composer and performing musician specialising in music for theatre, dance and visual media. He grew up in Berlin, lived in Amsterdam and Arnhem (Netherlands) from 2004 – 2015 and currently lives in Switzerland. He studied jazz guitar performance at the ArtEZ conservatory in Arnhem (MA degree). He loves to figure out a director’s vision of a project and then create great music that makes their vision even better. 'It is like a magic puzzle to me, cracking the code until what I see and what I hear are a perfect match. I like my music to have a presence without getting in the way of the bigger picture.’
